Caroline Patterson Amigh
January 9, 1928 – May 18, 2019

Caroline Patterson Amigh, age 91, formerly of Greensboro, NC and Lakewood, CO, died on May 18, 2019 at Bear Creek Care Center, Morrison, CO. Caroline’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the professional and loving care that she received during her eight-month stay at Bear Creek.

Caroline was born in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, PA on January 9, 1928 and
was the youngest of six children born to David Robert Patterson and Bertha Means Culbert
Patterson. She enjoyed a long and loving marriage to Robert Vincent Amigh, a WWII USMC
veteran who fought on Iwo Jima, and who died in 2006. After the War she joined her husband in
his business travels as the Colt Firearms representative in Texas. In the process, they met many
people who became their life-long friends. Caroline was an avid sports person, interested in
football, baseball and horse racing. In her last years, she enjoyed her monthly trips to Black Hawk and Central City, CO to play the “Slots”. It gave her great joy to come back from a day-outing with a few more dollars in her pocket.

Caroline is survived by her only living sister, Adele Patterson Nelson, Golden, CO; and
the following nephews and nieces: John Haeberlen, Havertown, PA; Connie Williamson,
Thornton, CO; David Nelson, Golden, CO; Terry Twist, Thornton, CO; Robert Nelson, Laguna
Hills, CA and Chloe Gardner, Broomall, PA.

Caroline’s wishes were to be cremated and her ashes interred next to those of her
husband, Robert, at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township, PA in a private ceremony at a
later date.
