I was so sorry to hear about John, he was liked by all of us that worked together. He was just a great guy and a real prankster and a lot of fun to work with as well as a really good operator. My family and I will miss him and want to keep in touch with Reta and the family.

My Dear Sara, I know your heart is breaking and you feel a little lost. It’s hard to think that the man who was there from your first day would be there no more. I know that there’s an emptyness there in your heart that no one can ever fill. Death is really part of life, it’s just another phase. We’re all here physcally for just a little while. So when we leave this earth in passing. what we did when we were here lives on in the memories of those we leave behind. I didn’t know your father, and only met him briefly several times. One occasion was the night I spent with your parents at the hospital when you were giving birth to Jaden. I know he loved you. I’m thankful to him for the gift that he left for me here on earth. His life touched my life and the people in my life forever. His life was meaningful to me and I’m thankful to him because he is the father of my daughter-in-law. Because he lived, I’m blessed with a beautiful, intelligent, loving daughter-in-law. I love you very much Sara. I’m so proud of you. Love is a powerful thing. Love never dies. Love it what matters. Love is what gives life meaning and what is left when life is gone. This too shall pass. Focus on today, because that’s all any of us have. The feelings of emptyness and loss for your father will never go away, you’ll just get used to it as life goes on. I love you Sara, Mason, and Jaden Dear Reta I know John was your life partner. In spite of everything, he was your husband and the father of your two beatiful children. I’m sorry for your loss. It will be hard for you to go it a lone. Each day will get better. My advice is to not look back and go forward from here. Focus on one day at a time. My best wishes and sympathy for your loss. Krista Caliga

My heart is much more broken than empty. I liked John since I met him in the 70’s, and grew to love him through the next decades. We had some great times & some troublesome times but I knew, John would be there and give the shirt off his back to any body who needed something. He HAS a huge heart & I’ll remember my BUD as one of my dearest friends. We had some great times and every time I play Overland I go give Bud a pat on his bench on the 1st hole. Now I’ll think of John. God bless you my buddy & I’ll miss you more than you’d ever realize. You’re in my heart forever Brother!!

Hi dad, Sure wish I was talking to you on the phone or in person with Jaden. I miss you more then I ever could have imagioned. I wouldn’t wish this feeling on anyone. I know you are mister loose everything but you weren’t suppose to loose your life. I love you and I know you love me, Mason, and Jaden. I guess I just never thought I would loose you. I don’t know why we are suppose to loose our parents not the other way around. So please truly watch over mom, please. She loves and misses you like no other. As I think of you now I think of your smile and your sarcasim. I call your phone just to hear your voice. You always had something nice or funny or sarcastic to say. You were always there when I got lost on the road and could tell me the exact side of the street I would be looking on. I know how hard you tried to get a job, even towards the end. I am so proud of you. I am just so thankful that you got to see your grand babies Jonnie and Jaden. I am so happy you got to see me pregnant, even when you had sarcastic shit to say, I still loved you for it. This last christmas with all of us was so much fun I only wished I would have gotten a family picture or at least a picture with you in it. I think of mom and how the last year had been for you both. I know now you really truly don’t know what you have until you have lost it. Just know mom will be ok, between me, Mason, Johnny, Tiffany, and little Jonnie and Jaden we will make sure she is ok. In some ways I guess you probably knew this was coming but wanted to spare us kids and live the way you wanted to while you could. I am not sure where to go when I want to talk to you, I am lucky enough to have a grave site for grandma and grandpa. I have visited them more then you knew. I am sure they will pass the messages on and you will probably be with them frequently anyway. I know you are watching over all of us know and that you are in a better place with some wonderful men and women that we have lost over the years. Tell everyone we say hello. I am going to miss you at the pool at his summer but I am thankful that you and Jaden got some time at the pool this last year. As you already know I got ahold of Lindsey your Lucy:) I know you were smiling at that. She also lost her dad and Brian, say hello to them as well as everyone else. I wish you were here but please watch over all of us and be with the ones we love and have lost. I love you always daddy.

I was truly shocked and saddened when I heard of Johns passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Our families used to be very close and we spent a lot of time together. I can still picture him walking up the street to share a beer with dad. He was an amazing dad, husband, grandfather, and friend. He was always there when someone needed them and would do anything to help. He adored all of his family and friends. He was one of my dads best friends and was like one of my many second dads. Rita, Sara and Johnny I’m really sorry that you are going through this. Prayers are with you in this difficult time.

I love you John and always will. You did a wonderful thing by getting a priest for my husband when he was dying. No one else could as they were all on retreat. But you took a day and called and got a retired priest to give my husband his last rites the very next day. You are with my men now. You are in good hands. Tell them I love them dearly. I know you are watching over your loving family. I am there if they need me and they know that. Go Broncos! Love you, Donna (your sister-in-law)
