Patrick was a successful small business owner who specialized in carpentry and concrete work. His most well known projects included the Eisenhower Tunnel, and the Stations of the Cross Shrine in San Luis, of which he donated much of the land. Patrick was also a public servant who was appointed to the Costilla County Housing Authority. During his tenure he helped bring in safe housing for the elderly, and was elected to the San Luis Water and Sanitation District. His service did not stop here he also served, and retired from the Costilla County Fire Protection District. Of all his many hats, his favorite one to wear was a cowboy hat. As a true cowboy and rancher, he enjoyed the animals, farmland, and passing down the knowledge of the art. If you needed help he was ready with his sleeves rolled up to give a lending hand. Once he retired from ranching he enjoyed traveling the world with his family, attending church or simply enjoying family time, family activities as simple as a meal or a board game. He was also known for his sense of humor, always trying to make people laugh, and coming up with interesting meal inventions that were actually pretty good.
A resurrection service will take place Saturday, May 13, 2017 @11:00 AM, officiated by Rev. WM. Romansky (The Stream Church) at the Centennial R-1 School gymnasium. Interment to follow with full Firefighter Honors at the Chama Cemetery.
