    Many good memories of my cousin Dick Romsdahl.
    As children my family spent many Sunday afternoons playing and visiting with Dick and his brothers. It was there that I learned to ride bicycle. My condolences to the family.

In Loving Memory

Richard was born May 20, 1936, to Joseph and Ida (Eckstrom) Romsdahl in St. James,
Minnesota. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on October 6,
2018. He is survived by his wife Jane (Evans), his sons Todd (Deborah) and Jon (Julia)
Romsdahl, his grandchildren, Richard (Airika) Romsdahl, Adam (Julie) Romsdahl, Ben
Romsdahl, Melissa (Ryan) Romsdahl and Erik (Dana) Romsdahl and three great-grandchildren
as well as two brothers, Harold and Kenneth Romsdahl.

Richard (Dick) grew up on a farm near St. James, MN. He served his military duty in the
National Guard. He married Jane Evans in 1956, to whom he was married for 62 years. They
started out married life farming in Minnesota. After being drowned out and droughted out in
consecutive years he changed course and started working with his father-in-law, Bill Evans.
He ran the Phillips 66 oil jobber in St. James until 1969 when he was offered a job with
Purolator Filters as a factory direct sales representative. This took him and his family to
Sioux Falls, SD, Littleton, CO and Plymouth, MN. When Purolator disbanded their direct sales
force, he decided to move back to Littleton to open an independent manufacturer’s
representative firm. He worked side by side with his wife and sons to run a successful rep
firm until his retirement in 2001. At that time, they sold their house and went 24/7 in their
motor home where they spent time between Littleton, their property in Westin, CO, and Mesa,
AZ. He loved family, camping, traveling and his golden retrievers. He will be deeply missed by
his family and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his son Joseph, his parents, Joe and Ida, his brother Rollin
Romsdahl, and his sisters, Elaine Needham Davidson, Doris Hanson, and Adele Umhoefer.
The funeral will be held on November 16, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church, 4500
E. Hampden Ave, Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113. There will be a Celebration of Life following
the service at 7915 Yorkshire Drive, Castle Pines, CO 80108.
