I met you when we were in 3rd grade. You always defended me when I got picked on for being the tiniest in our class.

Defender of those who couldn’t defend ourselves… You were the one who taught me to just drop my books and swing hard and fast, and never back down.

I still live by that, and taught it to my girls, and soon my granddaughter….

Your light burned out way too soon, and we will miss it’s shining…. We will look upwards for it now. R.I.P. dear friend.

I didn’t know Ronnie very well. However when I did see and speak with him, I remember his smile , kindness and respect that he showed me . I’m sorry I didn’t get to know him better. May he rest in peace. Thank you Lord for taking his pain away. He will missed by many.

To Ronnie’s family and friends, I am so sorry to read about the passing of one so dear to you. May you find comfort and strength in the precious memories you have shared together. I hope your mourning in time will soften. Lean on God for he can comfort you, for he is the “Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort” ~ 2 Corinthians 1:3.

Ronald Boney, age 48 of Westminster, Colorado passed away May 12, 2017. He was born to Pete and Eileen Boney on May 8, 1969 in Denver, Colorado. Ronald graduated from Brighton High School in 1990 and married Jennie Montoya on September 30, 1996.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Roy Wade. Ronald is survived by his father Pete Boney, wife Jennie, his nephew “Little Ronnie”, and his brother Eric.

Ronnie worked with the family business of sandblasting and painting throughout his life. He also worked drilling wells and septic systems. In high school, he enjoyed working with disabled students. He was known for his fist fighting and never backing down from a fight. He was very family oriented and enjoyed days in Wattenburg with his friends, killing a pig and then roasting it on a big bonfire where they also cooked chicharrones. He always wanted Jennie’s family to come over for bar-b-ques. He encouraged Jennie to go on vacations with her family and always reminded her to call her mom. Ronnie and her mom became close and she started sharing recipes with him. Jennie would then have to go to the store to get the ingredients. He loved trucks, to drive them, ride in them and work on them.
